If you are a parent looking for extra athletic coaching for your son or daughter, you could try Oxford City AC. Check out their website www.oxfordcityathleticclub.com or contact their Chief Coach Ian Warland on 077 32 74 22 12. Oxford City Juniors (aged 7 to 13) train at the track on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30.pm prompt through to 7.45.pm.

Several children gained an interest in Athletics after the 2009 Area Sports, and subsequently followed it up with Oxford City AC.

Finally, I leave you an e-mail address to contact myself and the volunteers who are putting on the event, should you wish to pass on constructive information. Please use with consideration, and understand that putting on Area Sports takes a lot of spare time and that your mail may well go unanswered due to those time pressures.

If after the event you wish to pass on happy stories then I in turn will forward them to the volunteers on whom this event is totally reliant. They themselves get a lot of joy from the enthusiasm of the children, and any positive feedback would be a lovely bonus for them.
